Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from State Rep. Jim Lucas (R-Seymour) in your coverage of an officer involved shooting Sunday in Seymour that resulted in the death of the suspect:

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 2, 2020) — "The Seymour police officers who responded to this incident demonstrated bravery and proper training in a dangerous situation. It's yet another example of the risk law enforcement face every time they put on the uniform to serve and protect our communities and I fully support our police officers on the city, county and state levels. I'm confident the Indiana State Police will conduct a thorough and fair investigation, and thankful no bystanders or officers were harmed."
