Note to the Press – State Rep. Andrew Ireland (R-Indianapolis) released the following statement on the State of the State address delivered tonight by Indiana Gov. Mike Braun.

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 29, 2025) – "As a strong supporter of school choice and a graduate of a charter school, I'm in full support of Gov. Braun's goal to make school vouchers universal for Hoosier parents. I also agree with him that too many Hoosiers are getting crushed by soaring property taxes, which is why I authored legislation to reset rates to what they were before the pandemic and cap them at 2% annually for seniors, young families and those with low income and 3% for everyone else. I look forward to working with the new administration and fellow lawmakers to get these priorities across the finish line."
