Huston says GM's $491M investment 'charges up' state's future in EV market

Note to the Press – House Speaker Todd Huston (R-Fishers) issued the following statement in response to today's announcement that General Motors is making a $491 million investment to expand and upgrade operations at the Marion Metal Center to support electric vehicle production:

STATEHOUSE (Sept. 15, 2022) –
 “Indiana continues to be a major player in the future of transportation, and it's exciting to see a powerhouse like General Motors choose to expand its footprint in the top-ranked manufacturing state in the nation. Significant investments like this one charges up Indiana's future in the growing electric vehicle industry while creating invaluable opportunities for our Hoosier workforce and business community."
