Huston says Fishers, Indy Fuel make 'perfect match,' city is 'magnet' for economic development

Note to the Press – House Speaker Todd Huston (R-Fishers) issued the following statement in response to today's announcement that the Indy Fuel minor league hockey team selected Fishers to locate its new headquarters, including an 8,500-seat arena in the Fishers District. Huston also responds to today's announcement that the Stevanato Group, an Italian manufacturer of glass and plastic drug containers, plans to more than double its investment in Fishers:

“This is exciting and game changing news for Fishers and Indy Fuel fans. This team and our city are the perfect match, and I can't wait to see the positive impact this $550 million expansion will have on the already booming Fishers District. Whether it's new housing and entertainment options or job opportunities, our residents and businesses will reap the rewards of this incredible investment for many, many years to come."

"The good news just keeps rolling in as our city proves itself as a magnet for economic development. I'm thrilled that the Stevanato Group just announced its plans to substantially expand its investment here to $512 million, including hiring over 500 employees moving forward. This global company recognizes the growth and opportunity in Fishers, and will continue to build on our reputation within the life science industry."
