Note to the Press – House Speaker Todd Huston (R-Fishers) issued the following statement in response to the December revenue forecast released today during a State Budget Committee meeting at the Statehouse:

STATEHOUSE (Dec. 15, 2022) – "Our revenue forecast confirms Indiana remains in a strong economic position, which is great news as we begin crafting the state's next two-year budget in January. This session, we'll maintain strong reserves and low debt while continuing responsible tax cuts and making strategic, one-time investments without growing government. I look forward to working with my House and Senate colleagues, and the governor to ensure Indiana remains a magnet for investment and opportunity for Hoosiers and businesses alike."

House lawmakers are scheduled to convene for session at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 9. Hoosiers can visit iga.in.gov to find legislation, view calendars, and watch committee meetings and session.
