Note to the Press – State Reps. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) and John Young (R-Franklin) provided the following statements today after Gov. Eric Holcomb announced his plan to call state lawmakers back to the Statehouse for a special session to provide inflation relief to Hoosier taxpayers:
STATEHOUSE (June 9, 2022) – “Hoosiers are rightfully upset about the failed federal Democrat policies causing costs of essential items like fuel and groceries to skyrocket. I support the need for a special session to provide more taxpayer relief through another automatic taxpayer refund," said State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
“This is the most effective action we can take for Hoosiers feeling the sting of inflation caused by the Biden Administration and D.C. Democrats. Inflation is at record highs in Indiana and across our nation, and issuing taxpayer refunds would help offset some of that burden for Hoosiers," said State Rep. John Young (R-Franklin).
