Yocum takes oath to serve as new state representative for House District 42

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 17, 2025) – Tim Yocum of Clinton recently took the oath of office to serve as state representative for House District 42, having won a caucus for the open seat.

Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath to Yocum during a swearing-in ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, in the House Chamber at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

"I'm honored to represent the Hoosiers of House District 42 at the Statehouse," Yocum said. "I look forward to serving our community and sharing our values and priorities as the state representative for our area."

Yocum works in operations for Duke Energy. He previously served as a Vermillion County Commissioner for 10 years and served as the board’s president for the past four years. He also serves as the chair of the Vermillion County Republican Party.

He and his wife, Kim, live in Clinton and have a daughter, Kylee.
