STATEHOUSE (Dec. 19, 2016) — In addition to chairing the House Committee on Employment, Labor and Pensions, State Rep. Heath VanNatter (R-Kokomo) was recently selected to serve on the House Committee on Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications.

He was also named to the House Committee on Environmental Affairs.

“I’m eager to work alongside fellow lawmakers and tackle a wide range of issues this session.” VanNatter said. “My experience as a small-business owner and my background in the energy and environmental fields will allow me to help find new ways to continue moving Indiana in the right direction.”

Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 4, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2017 legislative session.

Standing committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at www.iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas.
