STATEHOUSE (Nov. 23, 2016) – State Rep. Heath VanNatter (R-Kokomo) will be serving as chairman of the House Committee on Employment, Labor and Pensions.

Every session, legislative committees meet to gather public testimony, hear input from industry experts and collaborate with other lawmakers to discuss proposed legislation.

“As chairman of the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee, furthering economic growth and continuing to develop the state’s workforce will be among my top priorities,” VanNatter said. “As a small-business owner, I understand what works and what doesn’t work as job creators look to grow their companies. I’m excited to bring this experience and knowledge to the committee and, along with my colleagues, continue to make Indiana a destination for businesses big and small.”

VanNatter said committee hearings, which occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
