STATEHOUSE (April 8, 2020) – State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) during the 2020 legislative session welcomed Valparaiso High School students Isabel Blaney and Ruthie Marfoe to the Statehouse where they served as pages.
Through the Indiana House Page Program, Blaney and Marfoe toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Soliday on the House floor to witness the legislative process.
“It's always exciting when young Hoosiers from our community take a trip to the Statehouse and get involved," Soliday said. "By participating in the House Page Program, Isabel and Ruthie learned more about their state government and connected with their local leaders."
Soliday said students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating in 2021. For more information, call 1-800-382-9841.
