STATEHOUSE (March 23, 2026) – State Rep. Jake Teshka (R-North Liberty) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2026 legislative session.

“It's always great seeing young Hoosiers taking an interest in state government and wanting to participate in this great program,” Teshka said. “This is an excellent opportunity for students to see what a typical day at the Statehouse is like for lawmakers and hopefully inspire the next generation of civic leaders."

These area students served as pages during the 2026 legislative session:

  • Kiah Haas from South Bend, who attends Harold C. Urey Middle School;
  • Bree Hochstedler from North Liberty, who attends Harold C. Urey Middle School;
  • Nayomi Riddle from South Bend, who attends Harold C. Urey Middle School;
  • Chloe Strang from Plymouth, who attends Harold C. Urey Middle School; and
  • Silas Thomas from South Bend, who attends Harold C. Urey Middle School.

During their day as a page, they interacted with lawmakers and session staff, toured the Statehouse and joined Teshka on the House floor to watch the legislation process in action.
