STATEHOUSE (April 26, 2023) – State Rep. Lorissa Sweet (R-Wabash) recently welcomed Marlie Wright to the Statehouse where she participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.

Wright, from Wabash, is homeschooled. As a page, she assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined Sweet on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.

"It's great to see students from our community like Marlie take an interest in learning more about state government and public service," Sweet said. "I encourage other students who have a love of history or are curious about how law are made to consider paging next session."

Sweet said local students ages 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2024 legislative session.
