STATEHOUSE (Nov. 30, 2018) – State Rep. Holli Sullivan (R-Evansville) was recently appointed to serve as chair of the House Roads and Transportation Committee.
Sullivan first began serving on the committee during the 2015 session, and in 2017, she co-authored the largest infrastructure investment in state history. The comprehensive, 20-year plan fully funds state infrastructure improvements without passing debt to future generations.
“With my occupational background and experience on the roads committee, I am excited for this opportunity and eager to take on a new role,” Sullivan said. “Our transportation infrastructure plays a vital role in so many aspects of Hoosiers’ lives. I am confident that this session we will continue to make progress and improve our state and local transportation infrastructure.”
Sullivan has a bachelor’s of science in industrial engineering, and has worked in management at General Motors Corporation and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana.
Sullivan was also appointed to the House Committee on Rules and Legislative Procedures.
Standing committee appointments are made biennially after each election. Committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas.
