STATEHOUSE (Feb. 19, 2020) – State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they served as pages during the 2020 legislative session:

Through the Indiana House Page Program, these students toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Baird on the House floor to witness the legislative process.

“By participating in the House page program, these students learned more about their state government and the legislative process,” Baird said. “It’s important that Hoosiers get civically engaged at an early age, and serving as a page can be the experience that plants that seed.”

Baird said that while spots for this year’s page program are full, students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating in 2021.
