STATEHOUSE (March 16, 2020) – State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they served as pages during the 2020 legislative session:

Through the Indiana House Page Program, these students toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, helped staff with daily responsibilities and joined Baird on the House floor to witness the legislative process.

“By participating in the House page program, these students learned about how laws are created and debated in Indiana,” Baird said. “It’s important for young Hoosiers to understand how their state legislature impacts their lives and strives for positive change. Serving as a page can be the experience that plants that seed.”

Baird said students between the ages of 13 and 18 should consider participating next session. For more information, call 1-800-382-9841.
