STATEHOUSE (April 8, 2019) – State Rep. Dave Frizzell (R-Indianapolis) recently welcomed local student pages to the Statehouse.

As House pages, these students toured the governor’s office, the House and Senate chambers, and the Indiana Supreme Court. They also helped staff with their daily tasks and met with Frizzell to learn more about the legislative process:

  • Immanuel Fuss, from Indianapolis, attends Perry Meridian High School;
  • Alina Gekkeyeva, from Indianapolis, attends Perry Meridian High School;
  • Alihan Gurleyen, from Indianapolis, attends Perry Meridian High School;
  • Trevor Magnusen, from Greenwood, attends Center Grove Middle School North;
  • Liam Price, from Greenwood, attends Center Grove High School;
  • Pablo Quilez, from Indianapolis, attends Southport High School; and
  • Nina Zens, from Indianapolis, attends Perry Meridian High School.

“When students visit the capitol they are able to catch a glimpse of how the legislative process works,” Frizzell said. “I encourage more students to page at the Statehouse and experience a day in the life of a state representative.”

Frizzell said students aged 13 to 18 should consider participating as a page during the 2020 session. For more information, visit www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram.
