STATEHOUSE (April 30, 2019) – State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) recently welcomed student pages to the Statehouse.
As House pages, these students toured the governor’s office, the House and Senate chambers, and the Indiana Supreme Court. They also helped staff with daily duties and joined Baird on the House floor during the legislative session:
“Participating as a House page is a great opportunity for students to learn more about state government and the legislative process,” Baird said. “I love seeing young Hoosiers from our community coming to the Statehouse and being civically engaged. Being a page is an experience they will never forget.”
Students between the ages of 13 to 18 who are interested in paging during the 2020 session can learn more at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram. Participants receive an excused absence from school and groups can request to page together.
State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) represents House District 44, which includes
all of Putnam County and portions of Clay, Morgan, Owen and Parke counties.
