STATEHOUSE (April 30, 2019) – State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) recently welcomed local student pages to the Statehouse.
As House pages, these students toured the governor’s office, the House and Senate chambers, and the Indiana Supreme Court. They also helped staff with their daily tasks and met with Steuerwald to learn more about the legislative process:
“The page program is an incredible opportunity for students in our community to visit the Statehouse and work alongside local representatives,” Steuerwald said. “It was an honor for me to meet these young Hoosiers, and I encourage others to participate in the future and become civically engaged.”
Students between the ages of 13 to 18 who are interested in paging during the 2020 session can learn more at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram. Participants receive an excused absence from school and groups can request to page together.
State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) represents House District 40, which includes is a portion of Hendricks County.
