STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) was recently named to five summer study committees, commissions and councils that will examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.
Steuerwald will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Courts and the Judiciary and will be a member of the Interim Study Committee on Corrections and Criminal Code, the Code Revision Commission, the Judicial Technology Oversight Committee and the Legislative Council.
“A lot of progress was made across the board last session, and working in these summer study committees will help build on those successes and propel Indiana even further ahead next year,” Steuerwald said. “A wide range of topics will be discussed in these committees in preparation for the 2018 legislative session, including civil forfeiture laws and adult protective services.”
Steuerwald said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) represents House District 40,
