STATEHOUSE (Nov. 9, 2018) — State Rep. Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) was elected this week as the Majority Caucus Chair by the Indiana House Republicans.
As Majority Caucus Chair, he will serve as the leadership liaison between the members and staff and help lead caucus meetings.
“Under conservative leadership, Indiana is experiencing economic growth and has been maintaining a fiscally responsible, balanced budget,” Steuerwald said. “I am committed to building upon this momentum, making Indiana a better place to live, work and raise a family. I am honored to be selected by my fellow caucus members to serve on the leadership team.”
Last session, Steuerwald served as the chair for both the House Committee on Judiciary and Statutory Committee on Ethics. He was also the vice chair of the House Committee on Rules and Legislative Procedures and is a majority member of the House Committee on Courts and Criminal Code.
The next meeting of the Indiana General Assembly will be Organization Day on Nov. 20.
