STATEHOUSE (July 17, 2025) – State Reps. Dave Hall (R-Norman) and Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute) recently received appointments to serve on interim study committees, which will meet throughout the summer and fall to explore policy issues and work to identify solutions.
Legislators will hear testimony from the public, experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the next legislative session which begins in January.
Hall will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications.
"As Indiana grows, so does our energy demand," Hall said. "I'm committed to helping ensure Hoosiers have access to reliable, affordable power, while supporting innovation in utility infrastructure."
Heaton will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance.
"Indiana's economy depends on strong financial institutions and a stable insurance market," Heaton said. "These discussions will help us protect consumers, attract investment and keep Indiana competitive."
