STATEHOUSE (May 9, 2025) – The 2025 legislative session ended with passage of the state's next two-year budget as well as tax relief and other key priorities for Hoosiers, according to State Reps. Bruce Borders (R-Jasonville) and Shane Lindauer (R-Jasper).
"This session we delivered meaningful tax relief, upheld conservative values and passed policies that strengthen rural communities," Borders said. "From protecting taxpayers to backing law enforcement, this session brought positive change for Hoosiers."
The budget accounts for lowering Indiana's state income tax each of the next two years, which will save taxpayers over $200 million per year. Key investments were also made in K-12 education and public safety, including expanding Indiana's school choice scholarship program to all Hoosier families beginning next year.
"This legislative session marked substantial victories for taxpayers and targeted investments in education and housing," Lindauer said. "We are continuing to build on Indiana's strong trajectory to ensure lasting economic growth."
