STATEHOUSE (Dec. 12, 2018) — State Rep. J.D. Prescott (R-Union City) was recently selected to serve on three House committees, including the House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee.
“Having grown up in a farming family and now being a farmer myself, I am excited to serve on the agriculture and rural development committee,” Prescott said. “I believe my knowledge and lifelong experience in the agriculture field will allow me to provide insight on how we can support the farmers and rural communities of Indiana.”
Prescott was also appointed to the House Environmental Affairs Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee.
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2019 legislative session.
