STATEHOUSE (May 3, 2023) – State Rep. Jim Lucas (R-Seymour) recently welcomed Campbellsburg students Isaac and Jesse Wallace to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.
As pages, the students assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined Lucas on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.
"Paging is a great way for students to get a taste of what public service is like," Lucas said. "Next session, I hope more Washington County students take advantage of this opportunity and join us for a day."
Isaac and Jesse Wallace are home-schooled students.
Lucas said students ages 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2024 legislative session.
