STATEHOUSE (Oct. 26, 2023) – State Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves (R-Marion) was recently appointed to serve on several key House committees, which will begin at the start of the 2024 legislative session in January.
Goss-Reaves will serve on the House Public Health Committee, the House Family, Children, and Human Affairs Committee, and the House Insurance Committee.
"Committees represent a critical aspect of the law-making process, and allow us to meet with stakeholders, policy experts, and members of the public to debate and discuss legislation," Goss-Reaves said. "I look forward to using my experience in social work, mental health, and education to help Hoosiers in our local communities and across the state."
Goss-Reaves said committees are responsible for vetting bills, including hearing testimony and considering amendments.
