STATEHOUSE (May 30, 2024) – State Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves (R-Marion) recently launched a new district award called, "Heart of 31", to recognize local residents who go above and beyond to serve others.
Goss-Reaves invites residents of House District 31, which includes portions of Grant and Madison counties, to nominate friends, neighbors, co-workers, or community and business leaders who have made a positive difference in their community.
"House District 31 is home to so many hardworking Hoosiers, volunteers and leaders who go above and beyond to help others, and make a positive difference," Goss-Reaves said. "Oftentimes, their selfless actions go unrecognized, and I want to put a spotlight on kindness, dedication, and hard work. This is why I'm thrilled to introduce the Heart of 31 Award and encourage district residents to nominate deserving individuals from our area."
Nominations can be submitted by clicking here or visiting in.gov/h31 and clicking on the "Nomination" tab. Nominees must be residents of House District 31. To confirm a nominee resides within the district, click here or visit iga.in.gov and go to "Find Your Legislator," and enter the individual's home address.
Goss-Reaves said she wants to highlight a wide range of individuals from teachers and librarians to auto mechanics and grocery clerks. She said she also welcomes nominations from nonprofit organizations, local businesses, and government entities.
Award recipients will be recognized with a pin and special certificate, and highlighted in Goss-Reaves' official e-newsletters.
