Barrett recommends community members visit in.gov/coronavirus to learn more about the virus and how to protect themselves and others:

STATEHOUSE (March 18, 2020) — “As the coronavirus situation continues to escalate, a Hoosier has now tested positive in Wayne County. The staff at Reid Health in Richmond are taking the proper precautions and continuing to monitor the situation. Their vigilant efforts to properly care for the patient, while also protecting others in the hospital from COVID-19, is greatly appreciated.

"It is critical that our community does their part to help prevent the coronavirus from spreading further by staying home when sick, covering your coughs and sneezes, washing your hands, disinfecting high-touch areas and practicing social distancing. I encourage everyone to visit the state department of health’s website to learn more about this virus and how to best protect yourself, your family and our local community."
