STATEHOUSE (July 24, 2020) — Heritage Federal Credit Union and Southern Indiana Resource Solutions recently received the Governor’s Half Century Award recognizing their longstanding service in the community, according to State Reps. Holli Sullivan (R-Evansville) and Ron Bacon (R-Chandler).

"Southwest Indiana is ideal for business development and perfect for companies to thrive and help our communities flourish," Sullivan. "These two recipients are great examples of the success job creators can have if they locate to Warrick County. Congratulations to both businesses on staying in business for more than 50 years."

According to Sullivan, Heritage Federal Credit Union and Southern Indiana Resource Solutions were recognized for remaining in operation in Indiana for 55 and 52 years, respectively, and demonstrating a commitment to serving the community.

Bacon said the 76 Indiana companies and organizations honored with the Governor’s Century or Half Century Business awards will be invited to participate in the 2021 ceremony, with this year's spring ceremony postponed.

"Successful businesses are not only focused on growth and expansion, but also on giving back to the community," Bacon said. "Heritage Federal Credit Union and Southern Indiana Resource Solutions have served Warrick County for over 50 years, and I hope they have continued success."

More than 1,560 Hoosier businesses have been recognized during award's 29-year history.
