STATEHOUSE (July 6, 2017) — State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) was recently named vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation.
He will also serve on the Counterterrorism and Security Council and the Public Highway Private Enterprise Board. These summer study committees will examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and recommend potential legislation.
“As vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation, I will continue to help lead fellow members in discussions with the BMV regarding specialty license plates and examine the process for individuals seeking amnesty if they have unpaid bills for things like reinstatement fees for driver’s licenses,” Soliday said. “Summer study committees give lawmakers a chance to examine specific topics and gain input from the public as well as experts in certain fields in order for us to better serve Indiana.”
Soliday said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) represents House District 4,
