STATEHOUSE (June 20, 2018) — State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) was recently selected to chair the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation.
Soliday said in the coming months, the committee will examine several topics including vehicle right of use subscription programs like the ones offered by some dealerships.
“Summer study committees are critical to the legislative process,” Soliday said. “It is important for legislators to understand as much as we can about an issue before determining the best course of action. Committees help us make an informed decision and keep Indiana on track with the best practices.”
Soliday said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
In addition, Soliday will serve as co-chair of the Water Infrastructure Task Force, and as a member of the Counterterrorism and Security Council and the Public Highway Private Enterprise Review Board.
