STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2016) – The Indiana Chamber of Commerce today presented State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) the Small Business Champion Award for his dedication to bettering Indiana’s business climate for small-business owners. The award is based on voting and advocacy during the past legislative session.
“It is an honor to receive this award among other legislators who recognize our strong economy relies on the success of small businesses,” Soliday said. “I will continue to support pro-growth policies that keep Indiana at the top for best places to do business.”
Five honorees were recognized at the 2017 Indiana Chamber Legislative Preview luncheon, which featured a panel discussion by General Assembly caucus leaders on what to expect during the upcoming session.
“With the small business community employing more than half of all Hoosier workers, it is imperative that steps are taken to ensure its success. These legislators understand how vital small businesses are to the state’s economy,” said Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar.
The Small Business Champion awards have been given annually since 1993.
State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) represents House District 4, which includes portions of Porter County.
