Smith welcomes local students to the Statehouse during 2026 session

STATEHOUSE (March 24, 2026) – State Rep. Hunter Smith  (R-Zionsville) recently welcomed local students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2026 legislative session.

“This program gives students a meaningful look at how their state government works, and it’s always encouraging to see their interest firsthand,” Smith said. “Opportunities like this help young Hoosiers build confidence, ask good questions and gain skills they can carry into whatever path they choose next.”

These area students served as pages during the 2026 legislative session: 

• Dillon Powell, from Westfield, who attends Westfield High School;
• William Ioannacci, from Carmel, who attends Zionsville High School; and
• Olivia Levi, from Carmel, who attends Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.

During their day as a page, they interacted with lawmakers and session staff, toured the Statehouse and joined Smith on the House floor to watch the legislation process in action.
