STATEHOUSE (Jan. 19, 2016) – State Rep. Milo Smith (R-Columbus) paired his sneakers with his suit today at the Statehouse to help raise cancer awareness.
“About two in five people living in Indiana will eventually develop cancer,” Smith said. “This figure serves as an indication of the strong presence cancer has in Hoosier communities. It is important show our resolve to combat cancer and support those affected by this disease by participating in events like the Suits and Sneakers challenge.”
The Suits and Sneakers challenge is an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to help raise cancer awareness and support those affected by the disease.
