STATEHOUSE (Nov. 18, 2020) – Hal Slager of Schererville took the oath of office Tuesday to serve as state representative for House District 15.

Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath to all House lawmakers during a swearing-in ceremony in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during Organization Day, the formal start to the 2021 legislative session.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to return to the Statehouse to continue working on issues impacting our local communities," Slager said. "This will be a busy session, especially as we pass the next two-year state budget."

Slager, a graduate of Butler University, is the treasurer for Schererville Civic Funds. He served on the Schererville Town Council for 10 years, and as the state representative for House District 15 from 2012-2018. He was also president of Trico Graphics, manager of Triangle Equities LLC., and a certified public accountant.

Slager and his wife, Carol, have two adult sons.
