STATEHOUSE (March 7, 2025) – State Rep. Hal Slager (R-Schererville) and State Sen. Dan Dernulc (R-Highland) invite constituents to a town hall meeting in Schererville on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. CT to learn more about the 2025 legislative session and for updates on priorities in both the Indiana House and the Senate.
The town hall meeting will be held at the St. John Township Community Center, 1515 W. U.S. Highway 30 in Schererville.
"I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and discuss relevant issues with their state legislators," Slager said. "This is a time to reflect on the first half of session and get local feedback on how to better serve our community in the second half."
The Indiana General Assembly is currently in session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis and must complete their work by April 29.
"Meeting with our local community is incredibly important, especially at this point in session," Dernulc said. "We want to hear feedback on everything happening at the Statehouse and how we can better serve our community. I look forward to the constructive conversations we will have and the information and opinions we can bring back to the Statehouse for the second half of session."
Those unable to attend the meeting can contact Slager at in.gov/h15 or 317-232-9719 and Dernulc can be reached by filling out a "Contact Me" form online at www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Dernulc or by phone at 800-382-9467.
