STATEHOUSE (Sept. 3, 2021) – From custodians and truck drivers to mechanics and teachers, State Rep. Elizabeth Rowray (R-Yorktown) said Delaware and Madison counties are home to many hardworking Hoosiers who deserve recognition.

That's why Rowray said she recently launched the Hardworking Hoosier Award to recognize those who make their community a better place to live, work and raise a family. She urges local residents to nominate someone from Delaware County or Madison County who is an inspiration or goes above and beyond to help others.

"Dedication to serving your community and others is admirable, and I want to recognize those individuals in Delaware and Madison counties with a Hardworking Hoosier Award," Rowray said. "Please take some time to nominate outstanding Hoosiers in our area so we can recognize and celebrate their hard work."

Award recipients will be recognized with a pin and special certificate, and highlighted in Rowray's official e-newsletters. Delaware and Madison County residents can learn more and submit nominations online for the award at in.gov/h35.
