STATEHOUSE (Nov. 12, 2025) – "My heart is broken for the family and colleagues of Cpl. Blake Reynolds. We’re incredibly grateful for the men and women who serve and protect our communities with courage and compassion. I encourage everyone to keep the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and the deputy’s loved ones in your prayers,” said State Rep. Elizabeth Rowray (R-Yorktown).

"This is an unimaginable loss for our community. Our law enforcement officers put themselves in harm’s way every day to protect others and today we mourn the loss of one of Delaware County’s finest. My deepest condolences go out to the deputy’s family, friends and fellow officers during this difficult time," said State Rep. J.D. Prescott (R-Union City).

"I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Cpl. Blake Reynolds' passing, and I join the people of Delaware County in mourning his loss. It is a measure of incredible bravery and selflessness to put your life on the line each day, and our community was made better by his years of service. My sincerest condolences go out to his wife, Allison, and everyone who loved and cared for him," said State Sen. Scott Alexander (R-Muncie).

The lawmakers also urged drivers to use extra caution when approaching emergency scenes and to slow down or move over for flashing lights. Allowing first responders space to work safely can help prevent future tragedies on Indiana roadways.
