STATEHOUSE (July 11, 2024) – State Reps. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) and Kendell Culp (R-Rensselaer) recently received appointments to serve on interim study committees, which will meet throughout the summer and fall to explore policy issues and work together to identify solutions.

Legislators will hear testimony from the public, various experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the budget session in January. Pressel will serve as chair of the Interim Study Committee Roads and Transportation. He will also serve as a member of the Funding Indiana's Roades for a Stronger, Safer Tomorrow Task Force.

"With major projects involving bridges, roads and highways taking place all across the state, it is important we continue adequate maintenance and funding of our infrastructure," Pressel said. "Through reviewing these needs on the local and state levels, we can ensure our roads and bridges remain safe for Hoosiers and visitors alike."

Culp will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Elections.
