Note to the Press – State Reps. Karen Engleman (R-Georgetown) and Zach Payne (R-Charlestown) issued the following statements today in response to Gov. Eric Holcomb's announcement of a new project to build a Meta Platforms Inc. data center campus at River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville. Once completed, this campus would support approximately 100 new jobs and hundreds of construction jobs in the coming years.
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 25, 2024) – "It is such an exciting time to be a part of the Clark County area as we continue to grow. As Meta joins the Jeffersonville family, talented Hoosiers, successful businesses and more investments will surely follow. By putting in the work to be business-friendly and keeping our eyes on the future, our local communities and Indiana as a whole will continue thriving," said State Rep. Karen Engleman (R-Georgetown).
"Southern Indiana continues to be a major player in economic development with investments that will positively impact our communities by bringing in forward-focused industries. Not only are we immediately boosting our local economy but also setting the table for more businesses, workers and families to choose Clark County as their go-to location," said State Rep. Zach Payne (R-Charlestown).
