Indiana's new state budget, supported by Teshka and DeVon during the 2023 legislative session, included $100 million for capital expenses toward the new lodge.
STATEHOUSE (Oct. 19, 2023) – "St. Joseph County is fortunate to be the home of Potato Creek State Park, offering outdoor fun and recreation to locals and visitors alike. The new inn overlooking Worster Lake will add another great attraction to an already vibrant and highly visited destination. Today's groundbreaking ceremony is an exciting step forward, and I look forward to spending quality time at the park with my family and friends for years to come," said State Rep. Jake Teshka (R-North Liberty).
"Today's groundbreaking ceremony is the culmination of more than two decades of planning and hard work by state and local officials. The park adds to our quality of life, and with the new inn, there will be more opportunities for others to enjoy what St. Joseph County has to offer," said State Rep. Dale DeVon (R-Granger).
