STATEHOUSE (July 31, 2025) State Reps. Kendell Culp (R-Rensselaer) and Jack Jordan (R-Bremen) recently received appointments to serve on interim study committees, which will meet throughout the summer and fall to explore policy issues and work to identify solutions.

Legislators will hear testimony from the public, experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the next legislative session which begins in January.

Culp will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Elections and the Interim Study Committee on Environmental Affairs.

"Waterways throughout the state have been negatively impacted by pollution such as runoff, bacteria, harmful minerals, trash and more," Culp said. "As a result, we are studying the effects of lead, heavy metals, plastics and other harmful materials on our natural resources to help identity solutions."

Jordan will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy.

"Indiana remains fiscally responsible with a balanced budget over the next two years," Jordan said. "During the summer, lawmakers will continue to look at ways to make government more efficient and use taxpayer dollars wisely."
