STATEHOUSE (Dec. 20, 2024) – With the next legislative session quickly approaching, State Reps. David Abbott (R-Rome City) and Chris Judy (R-Fort Wayne) encourage Hoosiers to take their online surveys and offer feedback on important issues.
To start, Hoosiers should visit their state representative's webpage and click on the "Take My Survey" button.
Residents of House District 18 can find Abbott's legislative survey at in.gov/h18 and residents of House District 83 can find Judy's at in.gov/h83.
"Understanding the concerns that matter the most to those living and working in House District 18 is essential as I work on crafting new legislation," Abbott said "I look forward to receiving feedback from constituents through the survey and during the upcoming session."
To complete online surveys, Hoosiers must be a resident of the district and submit it by the Dec. 31 deadline. Constituents can check which House district they reside in by visiting the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov, clicking on "Find Your Legislator" on the homepage and entering a home address. Constituents can also expect to receive or may have already received a copy of their state representative's survey mailer in their mailbox.
"These surveys provide an excellent opportunity for Hoosiers to share their viewpoints and influence the policies we evaluate," Judy said. "Your input is important, and I urge you to get involved."
The 2025 legislative session begins Jan. 8 and must conclude by April 29. Hoosiers can follow session proceedings at iga.in.gov, where they can find information on proposed legislation and watch livestreams of committee hearings and session.
