STATEHOUSE (March 30, 2023) – Sharpsville native Toby Holman is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Heath VanNatter (R-Kokomo) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2023 legislative session.
Holman is the son of Craig and Heather Holman. He recently graduated from the University of Evansville and majored in political science.
"This internship has allowed me to get a start on my career," Holman said. "Working with constituents every day has been my favorite part of this internship, and is an experience that will help me in the future."
As a legislative intern, Holman corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.
"Interns like Toby are doing great work at the Statehouse and I'm looking forward to seeing what his future has in store," VanNatter said. "We especially rely on our interns to assist staff with constituents calls and emails, and making sure we're doing everything we can to help."
Each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
