Rep. VanNatter: Teacher Appreciation Week (5/7/2012)

Teaching is one of the most important occupations that one could pursue. Teachers not only equip students with how to read and write but leave long lasting wisdom to help young people succeed in their academia, career and family lives. 
                        
I want you to join me in recognizing those teachers who have been such a large part of our lives. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11 and a time when the nation celebrates and honors our nation’s teachers. Tuesday, May 8 is designated as National Teacher Appreciation Day.

Great teachers instill great values, impart long lasting wisdom, and take learning from just words on a page to a living, working concept of everyday life. I look forward to recognizing them through Teacher Appreciation Week.

•Check with your student's school to see what activities they have planned for the week.
