STATEHOUSE (Feb. 25, 2026) – Recently, State Rep. Heath VanNatter (R-Kokomo) sponsored a resolution honoring the lives of Delphi teens Abigail "Abby" Williams and Liberty "Libby" German.
Senate Concurrent Resolution 25 commemorates the legacy of the two young Hoosiers whose lives were tragically taken on Feb. 13, 2017, while eighth-grade students at Delphi Community Middle School. VanNatter said the resolution celebrates their memory and recognizes the lasting impact they have had on the Delphi community and across Indiana.
"Abby and Libby's lives touched the hearts of people across the Hoosier state," VanNatter said. "While we cannot undo this tragedy, we can ensure that their lives are remembered and continue to support their families and neighbors in Delphi."
Libby was active in volleyball, softball, soccer, swimming and band, and enjoyed painting, crafts and traveling. Abby played saxophone in the school band, participated in volleyball, loved reading and enjoyed camping, swimming, photography and art.
