Rep. Thompson welcomes student pages to the Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2017) — State Rep. Jeff Thompson (R-Lizton) recently welcomed the following student pages to the Statehouse:

  • Cyrus Anton, from Brownsburg, attends Brownsburg East Middle School;
  • Josephine Cameron, from Coatesville, attends Cascade Middle School;
  • Cassie Clark, from Roachdale, attends Danville Community High School;
  • Kacey Cook, from Danville, attends Danville Community High School;
  • Lucas Engels, from Pittsboro, attends Tri West High School;
  • Laurissa Gordon, from Brownsburg, is a homeschooled student;
  • Cate McCarty, from Crawfordsville, attends Crawfordsville High School;
  • Evan McCarty, from Crawfordsville, attends Crawfordsville High School;
  • Jarae Scott, from Indianapolis, attends Christel House Academy; and
  • Emery Westrich, from Pittsboro, attends Tri West High School.

As House pages, these participants toured government offices, helped staff with daily duties and joined Thompson on the House floor during the legislative session.

Thompson said students aged 13-18 should consider participating next session.
