Note to the Press – State Rep. Jake Teshka (R-North Liberty) issued the following statement today for the groundbreaking ceremony on the new Amazon Web Services data center in North Central Indiana. AWS plans to invest $11 billion to build a data center campus in New Carlisle and create at least 1,000 new jobs. This planned investment marks the largest capital investment announcement in Indiana’s history.
STATEHOUSE (Sept. 30, 2024) – "The addition of Amazon Web Services will deliver significant and long-lasting benefits to our region by boosting job opportunities, increasing economic development and spurring our economy. As a state representative, I will work hard to ensure AWS continues to collaborate with our local communities, which will be most impacted, to ensure this growth is a win-win for all."
