STATEHOUSE (July 11, 2024) – State Rep. Lorissa Sweet (R-Wabash) recently received an appointment to serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Government.

Interim committees meet throughout the summer and fall to explore and review policy issues and work together to identify solutions. Legislators will hear testimony from the public, various experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the budget session in January.

"Interim study committees are a great time for lawmakers to take a deeper dive into various issues and consider solutions that can improve the lives of our constituents," Sweet said. "For this committee, we'll look for ways to improve and streamline state government operations and to ensure taxpayer dollars are being used wisely."
