(STATEHOUSE) Jan. 7, 2009 - State Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso) was appointed as the assistant Republican whip by Republican Leader Brian C. Bosma. Rep. Soliday will serve in this role for the next two years.
"I'm honored to be a part of an already very capable leadership team," said Rep. Soliday. "I'm looking forward to meeting the challenges of a difficult legislative session head-on."
Rep. Soliday was also appointed to serve on the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee. He will continue to serve on the Commerce, Technology, Energy and Utilities and the Roads and Transportation committees.
