STATEHOUSE (Oct. 4, 2019) – State Rep. Dollyne Sherman (R-Indianapolis) was recently appointed to several House standing committees.
Sherman will serve as a member of the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee, House Public Health Committee, and House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications Committee.
“My focus continues to be on the needs of our community, and I am eager to begin working on legislation that moves Indiana in the right direction,” Sherman said. “The topics discussed in these committees impact so many, especially families.”
Committees are critical to ensuring only the best policies that support all Hoosiers advance in the legislative process, according to Sherman.
Standing committees meet during the legislative session, which convenes each year in January. Committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas.
