STATEHOUSE (Nov. 22, 2016) – Surrounded by family and fellow legislators in the Indiana House Chamber, member-elect Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) took the oath of office today, officially becoming the state representative of House District 20.

Pressel was sworn in by Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush. He was elected to fill the seat vacated by Tom Dermody.

“I look forward to representing the people and the values of House District 20,” Pressel said. “This session, I will work with my fellow lawmakers to balance Indiana’s next two-year budget and support a sustainable, long-term solution to fund Hoosier roads. All of this will keep Indiana moving in the right direction.”

He is a member of the Sacred Heart Church, president of the Indiana Builders Association and helped start the New Prairie High School Building Trades Program.
